This day of dance falls on Easter Monday. I will choose some dances and songs that hold qualities of the story and symbol of Jesus that are universal and felt in our hearts by expression. I share the dances in a musical and direct way that invites participation in love of music, dance - and life.
Some previous dance experience, and willingness to join with each other and explore is required, a partner is not. I will use mostly live and some recorded music for the dancing.
Bring soft shoes - (or dance barefoot), and vegetarian food to share for supper. Places must be booked in advance (max 16 places). You can book by email or telephone or letter - and pay on arrival - but payment or at least some deposit indicates a comittment to come and supports an ongoing willingness to share through music and dance. If you or your friends are interested DO book them in or get them to check places before coming
The heart tends to become masked and hidden in the world. We often then identify with our thinking in attempt to control life. In this we lose the sense of life as like a 'dance to a Shared Music'. Though we may become proficient at mimicking the outer forms we will not feel the freedom and peace of the heart.
I embrace circle dance as a shared path of the heart where - without dogma, beliefs, creeds or complexity of thought - we can freely allow ourselves into a direct and present connected feeling that is a tangibly shared atmosphere.
This could be likened to healthy ground - out of which good things grow true. For joy that rises freely of itself is not of the mask. It is not 'trying to become'.
The depth that we seek, and identify as true fulfilment is that of presently connected felt awareness : the heart. This is simple. Obstacles that may seem to make embracing this anything but simple, are resistances that can be freely released - as they arise - in the willingness to join with life - simply and directly. To rejoin the dance.
Our primary relationship is with our own heartfelt being - not through talking or thinking - but in terms of acceptance and recognition and embrace. Our relationship with each other will reflect this light, as welcome is given and received.

"God picks up the reed-flute world and blows. Each note is a need coming through one of us, a passion, a longing-pain. Remember the lips where the wind-breath originated, and let your note be clear. Don't try to end it. BE YOUR NOTE." Rumi |
