Dancing with Brian Newsletter: 27 February 2009
Dear Dancers: Greetings!
The Recent Past: I am feeling alive and grateful in sharing the dance with have a sense of new growth on various levels including early Springtime. I have a number of newly met dances that I am enjoying, some of which I hope to sing in future.
• The recent day in Norwich - Dancing in the Heart - felt blessed. The next Dancing in the Heart Day will be Easter Monday. Details of this and further dates for Norwich evenings are given below. • The Hempton group got off to a very encouraging start - drawing from a wider catchment and with old dancing friends and new. (Next meet is Sat March 7th 2.30-4.30). • I am in process of finalizing details with regard to invitations I have received to run a day of dance in other areas - in this case The Lake District and the far north of England in the latter part of this year. This will be a trek - but I have a desire to travel out with the dance as well as growing the culture locally so I am pleased and hope this is the beginning of more to come.
A Recent article: “Following a Calling”. <http://dancing-in-the-heart.blogspot.com> This article came from writing to a centre in Suffolk to see if they might be a place where I might hold weekend gatherings, dance retreats etc. The centre is a spiritually orientated wholistic environmental project that attracted me as a context into which I would like the dance to be included. I feel that our dancing is part of a wider way of life that it supports and is supported by.

Groups, Events and Dates:
Sheringham Friends Meeting House 2nd Friday each calendar month. 2.30 - 4.30. (Jane Maclean runs likewise on 4th Fri each month)
Hempton - Nr Fakenham Regular (approx) MONTHLY Saturday afternoon group in lovely hall: 7 March - 28 March - 9 May - 6 June - 4 July - 1 August (Dawn’s Balkan Dance Group also meets likewise in between these dates - See calendar page).
Norwich – The White House This meets currently fortnightly 7.30 - 9.45 and the day varies. Here are the dates currently booked: • Mon 16 March • Thur 2 April • 13th April - Easter: Dancing in the Heart - see below. •Thur 16 April •Mon 27 April •Thur 14 May •Mon 1 June •Mon 15 June
Easter Monday 13th April 2009 - - A Day Workshop
Dancing in the Heart at Easter The White House : Norwich. 11 am – 5.30 pm. (Bring and share vegetarian meal) £15. Places must be booked (max 16 places). More information and flyer available from the Calendar page.
